March 17th, 2013 Trials Report
Perfect timing would be a good way to describe the trials at Ken Brown's place on March 17th. A week before, we were buried in over a foot of snow and the trials was in doubt. Then, mother nature co-operated with warm weather and sunny skies, record high temps, and a good breeze to go with it. And wouldn't you know it, just as we were finishing up the trials it started raining. Call it the luck of the Irish, I guess. Anyway, it was good to get out and ride a good trials event. Ken's event is always challenging because of the great stuff he has to ride at his place. Ken was assisted by Mike & Cheryl, Scott, Marc and Dale in setting up this event. Had a pretty good turnout with 18 riders contesting nine sections three times each. Amateur was the largest class again with 9 riders, followed by both Master and Intermediate with 3 riders each, and then Novice with 2. Dale rode Expert uncontested. I saw more Yamaha TY's at this event than I have seen in one place in quite awhile. We also had some new riders come out and compete in the trials and we would like to thank Richard Bowden, Mike Jensen, Dan Yates, and Grant Humble for coming out and riding with us. Now, on to the scores!!
Well, that about wraps it up for now. Keep trying to come up with names and contact info for Carl for the 40th anniv. party. The next trials is at the club grounds in Trenton, MO. on April 21st at 11:00 A.M. start time. Come on up and join the fun.
